Formed in January 20214, Dusty Green Bones Band is a 5 piece electric newgrass group based out of California’s Bay Area. Looking to form a “JamGrass” style band, this rowdy bunch of musicians met in the heart of San Francisco. After 2 EP’s and a full length album, the group lineup has changed and now consists of: Forrest Allen (Acoustic/Electric Mandolin, Vocals), Scotty Brown (Electrics/Stand Up Bass, Vocals), Isaac Cantor (Acoustic/Electric Banjo, Vocals), Mark Ignatius (Acoustic/Electric Guitar, Vocals), Jon Ryan (Drums, Percussion, Vocals).
Their music aims to expand the authentic complexity of traditional bluegrass by layering ancient tones with improvisation and rock n’ roll. The band has shared the stage wit multiple touring acts such as Billy Strings, Vince Herman, Hot Buttered Rum, Jason Hann, Kitchen Dwellers, Tyler Grant, Stu Allen, Horse Shoes & Hand Grenades, and more.
